ITC Hosts Upstate New York Legislative Delegation

Canandaigua, NY, February 18, 2010

On Thursday, February 18th, representatives from the New York State Assembly and Senate Delegations for the Rochester region were at ITC to learn about the Center’s growth in commercial projects and some exciting economic development projects in the works.  Assembly Minority Leader Brian Kolb, Assemblyman Joseph Morelle, and Assemblyman Joseph Errigo were in attendance, as well as staff representing Senator Joseph Robach, and New York State Governor David Paterson.

The focus of this meeting was to highlight the aggressive efforts of ITC’s management team to bring new commercial partners to the Center for joint development and low-volume manufacturing projects.   Three presentations were also given by companies seeking to locate significant new jobs at the Center.  One company, an advanced manufacturer, has plans to build out new cleanroom facilities in the building.  Two other companies are software-as-a-service firms that are leveraging ITC’s position as a hub on the Ontario County Fiber Access Ring – Axcess Ontario.

One of those companies, ClearMomentum, is an existing tenant at ITC.  They currently employ 14 individuals and are projecting growing to over 20 by the end of 2010.  The other SaaS firm is seeking to build a state-of-the-art data center at the facility employing another 50 workers by the end of 2010.
